As part of the Festival, two workshops on inclusion were held. The lecturers were: Svetlana Dujovic-director of the Day Care Center for children and youth with disabilities and special needs, Pljevlja and Valentina Čabarkapa, psychologist.
During the lectures, special emphasis is placed on the fact that children with disabilities are not children with special needs but that they like other children have the same needs, such as: love, attention, respect and support. It was stressed the significance of inclusion – especially in education as a right of every child to be educated. So that children with disabilities have the opportunity to attend regular classes. Children with severe developmental problems during the learning process have help of the teaching assistants.
The workshops helped students at shattering prejudices against children with disabilities and encourage them to devote more time and attention to such children, and in turn they will get their immense love and friendship.
